We do not have enough GP Drs. now. If you increase the number of people receiving health care we are certainly going to have a shortage. If someone doesn't have insurance they are going to "tough out" the simple things in life. If they have insurance then they are likely to run to the dr. everytime they have runny nose. How are we going to accomodate this? Nobody seems to want to address this issue.
We keep hearing about the billions of dollars in Medicare/Medicaid fraud now with our current "government run health care". If we cannot control the fraud now do we really want more of it? I DON'T!
I might have more faith in our government if they didn't do stupid things...(cash for clunkers that cost the taxpayers a whopping $24,000 PER VEHICLE SOLD...that did NOTHING for the economy OR $2,000 VISA cards for hurricane victims to use at the jewelry stores......$600 commode seats...just to name a few)
Regardless of politcal party our Government wastes more money than you can imagine.
