What do I need to do if I'm so dang tired of driving on this road between Kell and Speedway?
It's getting on my nerves how in need of repairs this portion needs. There are dips, cracks, and holes going north and south.
I'm so tired of it!!!! HELP!!!!
Seriously now, those who drive it know what I am talking about.
I've been driving it for three years now and I'm starting to find myself taking other longer routes in order to avoid this disastrous road.
Who do I need to call?? |

Go to a City Council meeting and tell them. You'll get more attention that way and they are likely to consider repaving or retopping the street.
They could also tell you that they are aware of the problem and are waiting till they get all the other paving together at the same time.
............Nah............ Thats too logical. |

Yeah, that road bites the big one. Luckily I don't find the need to use it much. |

When I was living in DC, there was a busy road like that. It was so bad it broke my steering rack ($1600 repair). Then President Reagan died, and they needed that road for his funeral procession. In three days, they had it completely dug up, rebuilt, and resurfaced like glass. And it has stayed smooth for five years! So don't tell me it takes "years" to fix a road. It can be done, if the political will is there. |

Many years ago, the city's part of the road to our office was REALLY BAD!
On of the guys sent a letter to the city that simply said, " XXXX block street name is in need of repair. I don't want to say the holes are deep, but I think I heard Chinese voices."
The next week there were city guys out looking at the street and two weeks later a repair crew was out. |

At the city we do have a department that inspects complaints about roads. Same with water leaks. If you send in stuff we do look at them, please do! |

GUESS WHAT???
THEY CAME OUT AND FIXED THE SOUTH BOUND PART BETWEEN SPEEDWAY AND KELL AND WHERE HAMILTON AND SPEEDWAY MEET.
I was really surprised to see them out last week. I didn't call or send a letter to anyone. Maybe they came on here and checked the thread.
Thanks!! |
