I didn't know Dorsey but I know Patti. She is VERY proud and honored to take over for Dorsey. He has been grooming her for this position for the last several years. He has her well trained.
I know a lot of people who are dedicated to their jobs but Patti takes the cake! She loved her job as Deputy Clerk and I just know she will have the same dedication to her new position.
Congratulations to her on the new job and to the District for selecting a very qualified person! |

Gotta say, I did a lot of business in the District Clerk's office over the past ten years....Most of them seemed to be in competition to see what was the exact bare minimum they could do in order to help you out, the least amount of mental or physical exertion...Patti was the exact opposite of that. Always pleasant, always cheerful and willing to go out of her way to help you. I just hope Patti can instill a little of her enthusiasm and dedication into her co-workers. Many of them have been in their "guvmint jobs" for too long, if you know what I mean.... |

She has to run for the office in the November 2010 elections. So far she is unopposed in the Republican primaries but I think they have until December to file (for March primaries). When she wins that I believe someone has until March to file to run against her on a Dem. ticket. for the regular election in November. |

All candidates, Republican or Democrat must file by January 4th to be eligible, just fyi. |
