Wal-mart closing???

I heard a rumor over the weekend that the Wal-Mart on Greenbriar may be closing???? I heard it from an employee. They had asked their boss to confirm it but he/she wouldn't.

Anyone else heard that????

I talk to a local business guru every Tuesday morning and he didn't mention anything. Why on earth would they close that store?

I was surprised too! Don't they own all of that land and retail spaces around there? Seems to me those would be goners if that store closed!

Judging by the parking lot and folks in the store when I'm there, that store is busy. I can't imagine closing unless the shoplifting issues are out of hand.

Personally, it's my favorite Walmart.

I have heard that theft is a HUGE problem over there. Imagine that!

I love that Wal-mart. I will be crushed if it is gone! I usually go during the week about mid-morning. In fact, I was there today around 9. It is not very crowded. I parked right at the front door and went straight through the check out line with no wait. Works for me!

I have gone at night before but make hubby go with me! Okay, okay....I am scared of the dark!! lol

Boy I hope not either, its too easier to shoot down 1954 and then back up 79 to that one... but once the Kell Extension is open later this week, who knows which route will be quicker easier... I would be sad to see that WM close.... its very convenient for me!!

I shop at all three from time to time, but I really prefer that store. Something about how it is laid out.
